Under the tutelage of 1995 ARCA Menards Series champion and two-time Daytona victor Andy Hillenburg, reigning ARCA/CRA Super Series champion Hunter Jack and Fenhaus will be among the group of Road to Daytona drivers that will hit the high banks for the first time on Jan. ARCA’s Road to Daytona program dates back a decade, collaborating with various partners to give deserving racers the opportunity to make laps at speed under testing conditions at stock car racing’s most hallowed ground. Select drivers from the ARCA/CRA Super Series and the ARCA Midwest Tour will once again be participating in the ARCA Menards Series pre-race practice session at Daytona International Speedway in 2022. Fenhaus was on the verge of besting the field of legends assembled by Tony Stewart and Ray Evernham before a last-minute caution dropped him to second.
Fenhaus got a glimpse at stardom in 2021, when he won the Slinger Nationals and earned a seat for a one-off in the Superstar Racing Experience (SRX) nationally televised event at Slinger.
One young racer who could give Majeski a run for his money in the near future is Luke Fenhaus, the defending rookie of the year for the ARCA Midwest Tour at just 17. Majeski has 15 ARCA Menards Series starts to his credit, including a successful stint with Chad Bryant Racing in 2019 in which he won three superspeedway races and finished no worse than fourth in six starts. Perhaps no ARCA Midwest Tour alum is more acclaimed than Ty Majeski, who captured four consecutive series championships between 2014-17 before returning last season to add a fifth to his resume. The Gregg McKarns-owned series features an 11-race super late model slate for 2022 that will kick off on Sunday, May 1, at Madison International Speedway with the Joe Shear Classic 200. The ARCA Midwest Tour has held its affiliation with ARCA since 2013. Notable drivers with ARCA Menards Series ties to come out of the ARCA/CRA Super Series ranks as series champions in recent years include Greg Van Alst, who made nine AMS appearances last year with a top finish of second at Winchester Travis Braden, a back-to-back ARCA/CRA Super Series champ in 2013-14 who won his AMS debut in 2015 and finished in the top five in the final AMS standings twice and Grant Quinlan, a Canadian racer who scored a career-best third at Daytona in 2019. The ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS will share the race weekend with the ARCA Menards Series East on May 7 at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway as part of a healthy slate of races scheduled for the evening.ĪRCA/CRA Super Series drivers will also be part of the action at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park on the weekend of July 29, headlined by the return of the ARCA Menards Series and the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series to the popular 0.686-mile oval. The season will wind down in October with the running of the Winchester 400 and the All-American 400 at Nashville to close out the year.
Scott, the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS unveiled its 13-race schedule in December, beginning with a non-points event at Crisp Motorsports Park in Cordele, Georgia on Saturday, Jan. Owned and operated by Glenn Luckett and R.J. The Champion Racing Association (CRA) has partnered with ARCA since 2012 to present the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS, a super late model division that will be entering its 26th season overall in 2022. With the 2022 racing season fast approaching, ARCA officials have announced the organization will extend its sanctioning agreement with the Champion Racing Association and the ARCA Midwest Tour for the coming year.
